PRODUCT
Built in the early 1980s, the Kosmo office building has undergone major restructuring and is today the headquarters of a famous creator of perfume and cosmetics. Located at the entrance to Neuilly (Hauts-de-Seine), the building complex was designed by architects Laure Mériaud and Simon Rodriguez-Pages.
The building provides landscaped areas such as balconies and terraces with plants and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that provide 360-degree views over the city and the Seine. The building volume is sub-divided, with large terraces and old spandrels removed in order to increase the field of view.
Natural light is enhanced via floor-to-ceiling glass façades and opening windows. Acoustic comfort has also been taken care of. The project received the "Best Renovated Building" award at the Mipim Awards.
The high-quality façades are glazed with Guardian SunGuard® eXtra Selective (SNX) 60/28, a triple silver coated solar control glass that provides the ideal balance between high light transmission and solar factor, as well as strong thermal performance. Natural daylight reaches almost all work areas in the building, whilst the glazing reflects the optimum amount of solar heat away. This helps to keep occupants comfortable during their working day.
