Guardian Glass allowed us to achieve a very good solar factor and a low thermal emissivity with as much clarity as possible.
Located in a beautiful landscape, between Portixol and Cala Blanca in Jávea, Alicante, the Sardinera House looks directly over the Mediterranean Sea from the hillside. Its connection to the surrounding areas highlights its strong architectural character where the white concrete and the treated wood mimic each other.
The straight-line design is marked by the connexion between the various areas of the house from which you can enjoy the amazing views. The architect says: “The glass plays a fundamental role as the project was conceived as a big lookout point to the Mediterranean where the limits between the outside and the inside tend to disappear. To achieve that feeling we could not neglect the comfort conditions that a house with these characteristics requires".
The outside areas of the Sardinera House are designed as a continuation of the architecture itself setting the guidelines, as well as being used for the vegetation, the paved areas and the swimming pool. Moreover, the house has been designed according to sustainability criteria and has been awarded a class A energy efficiency rating. To summarise; comfort, rhythm and harmony are joined together to provide a peaceful and fresh feeling.
